Attorney Timothy Hollister's life forever changed when his 17-year-old son Reid died in a car crash along Interstate 84 East in Plainville on December 2, 2006.
It was a dark night, it had just rained, and Reid was likely driving too fast for the conditions on a stretch of highway he likely hadn't driven on before, his father said. Reid went too far into a curve before turning, then overcorrected, and went into a spin. His Volvo hit a guardrail precisely at the middle of the driver's-side door, which crushed the left side of his chest.
