Right in line with the national trend, the region's law schools saw fewer applicants than in past years.
To counter that drop, the University of Connecticut and other law schools aggressively recruited students in the face of bleak employment numbers. Those who are taking the plunge as classes start in the next few days will be finding themselves even more immersed in hands-on learning experiences.
