The state Attorney General's Office has withdrawn its appeal of a court ruling that backed a minimum staffing level for Connecticut state police officers, saying a law passed last year erases the requirement to keep on at least 1,248 troopers.
The new law eliminated the staffing requirement while state police evaluate staffing and response times to determine how many officers are needed.
