Attorney Robert Berke says that the sad truth is that there are enough victims of child pornography in Connecticut to support the establishment of a new law firm devoted to their representation, as well as a website to provide the victims with information about possible legal remedies.
“One of the problems we have seen is that victims are often embarrassed and don’t know where to turn,” said Berke, a Bridgeport lawyer. “The criminal justice system is a limited help to victims and sometimes the prosecution doesn’t know all the civil remedies available to child pornography victims.”
