In May 2012, the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Connecticut and other law enforcement agencies, rounded up a state-record 105 defendants following a massive investigation into narcotics sales and gang violence in New Haven.
Tabbed “Operation Bloodline” by law enforcement, there have already been more than 90 plea bargains, and more than half of the defendants have been sentenced. A few cases have gone to trial, all resulting in convictions.
