A jury has awarded $12.3 million to the family of a 5-year-old girl who drowned in the indoor pool at Waterbury’s Boys & Girls Club in 2008.

“A big verdict doesn’t make up for the loss of a child but this provides some measure of justice for them,” said Kathleen Nastri of Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, who handled the case with William Bloss, of the same firm. “They feel like they got closure.”
