A Ridgefield lawyer has been arrested for using client funds to pay for his own lavish lifestyle, including luxury cars, jewelry and an expensive Westchester County country club membership.

Timothy Griffin, 54, runs a solo real estate law practice in Bronxville, N.Y. He was arrested by New York State police on Sept. 19 on seven counts of grand larceny. According to charging documents filed by New York’s attorney general, Griffin used more than $1 million funds from his client escrow accounts to pay for his personal expenses.
