BTS USA Inc. v. Executive Perspectives LLC: A Waterbury judge has determined that an employee at a company that made corporate training products did not steal trade secrets from his former employer, which runs a similar enterprise. The judge further opined that the plaintiff’s claim was made in bad faith and an award for attorney fees for the defense is likely forthcoming.

“I think that’s a caution to lawyers who think you can [pursue lawsuits like] this and not worry about it… You have to look twice at counseling a client in a case that’s been shown to not have any evidence in its favor,” said one of the defendants’ lawyers, Joseph Garrison, of Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Richardson, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti in New Haven.
