The whirlwind of change in the legal industry is being felt in Connecticut.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the 20-attorney Westport business law firm of Levett Rockwood announced it would be absorbed by the larger, Maine-based Verrill Dana. Meanwhile, Edwards Wildman Palmer, which had offices in Hartford and Stamford, announced a merger with Locke Lord, and a Connecticut-based partner said the new firm would probably hire as many as 50 additional attorneys in Connecticut.
