Dean Martin v. Amelia Olinda: A man who fell 25 feet or more from a ladder while trying to trim tree branches, shattering vertebrae in his back, has recovered $1 million from the people who asked him to do the work.

Dean Martin, 41, of Manchester, was visiting the West Hartford home of Amelia Olinda on July 22, 2009, and was asked to trim limbs from a large, rotting tree, according to Martin’s lawyer, Steven Errante, of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante in New Haven.
