As the Judicial Branch turns to 2015, it will continue to devote considerable time and energy to restructuring how the courts handle family matters, with the goal of making the family court process more efficient, cost-effective and easier for families to navigate.

By way of background, the Legislature in 2014 passed a bill that made significant changes regarding the appointment of guardians ad litem. The Judicial Branch implemented these changes and is now looking to make more changes so that parties have multiple options to resolve disputes.
