A Democratic state representative from Bridgeport has been nominated for a Superior Court judgeship.

Auden Grogins, who has been an attorney for nearly 25 years, has a Fairfield-based solo practice that focuses on criminal defense, personal injury and appellate law. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and Quinnipiac University School of Law, she was first elected to the General Assembly in 2008 and served as deputy majority leader during the last legislative session. A member of the Judiciary Committee, she was scheduled to cochair the Planning and Development Committee in the 2015 legislative session.
