The state Supreme Court will not take up an appeal filed by a divorcing parent who was seeking to block publication of an article in the Connecticut Law Tribune. At the same time, the court rejected the newspaper’s request to vacate the ruling of a trial judge who initially barred publication of the story.

The court’s decision, released Jan. 22, clears the way for publication of an article on a custody matter involving the Department of Children and Families that the Law Tribune began reporting in late November. Editors at ALM, the parent company of the Law Tribune, indicated that the original article would be prepared for publication in the near future.
