When Kenneth Ireland was initially released from prison in 2009 after serving 21 years behind bars, he had trouble making a living. But it wasn’t for a lack of effort.
Ireland, who had been exonerated in the rape and killing of a Wallingford woman, tried several jobs. He worked with troubled kids, in an accounting office and for the Capitol Region Education Council, said University of Connecticut School of Law Dean Timothy Fisher, who befriended Ireland back when Fisher was in private practice.
