New details have emerged in a legal malpractice case brought by a brain-damaged boy and his parents who are suing two respected Connecticut law firms for allegedly defrauding them of millions of dollars.
The D’Attilo family claims that lawyers at Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder in Bridgeport and Day Pitney in New Haven engineered a complex scheme to take an extra $4.3 million in legal fees in 2012 that were not legally allowed under state statute or any signed retainer agreement.
