A woman who was hit by a car while crossing the street in downtown Stamford, has settled her claim against the negligent driver for $100,000 before even having to file a lawsuit.
Senfy Mettellus, 33, of Stamford, was walking around town one day in July 2014. As she neared a four-way intersection, she waited for the crosswalk light to tell her she could walk. She then began crossing the road at the intersection of North State Street and Atlantic Street.
