Prominent New London trial lawyer Robert Reardon has won millions of dollars in personal injury cases. But now, in a harshly worded, 75-page opinion, a longtime jurist is questioning Reardon’s credibility, integrity and fitness to practice law.

“The matter before the court is grave,” Judge Trial Referee Thomas Parker wrote. He goes on to quote the entire Attorney’s Oath, with its emphasis on honesty and openness to the court. Parker then uses words like “bizarre” and “inexplicable” to characterize Reardon’s behavior.
