New law school graduates and those who just passed the bar exam are expected to encounter a better job market than in recent years in Connecticut, though they will still face competition from underemployed, but more experienced attorneys.
James Ray, director of the Career Planning Center at the University of Connecticut School of Law, said recent trends suggest the job market for law school graduates is slowly improving in Connecticut, although not as quickly as in other parts of the nation.
