An actor famous for his role in the popular “Twilight” series of movies is being sued in federal court, where he faces claims of breach of contract and unfair trade practices for allegedly not properly compensating a Connecticut-based business partner.

Robert DeFranco, a producer who lives in Glastonbury, is suing actor and producer Peter Facinelli, who gained fame from his role as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, a vampire character in the “Twilight” series. Facinelli, who was also in the comedy “Nurse Jackie,” is currently starring in the television show “American Odyssey.”
