When Mary Alice Moore Leonhardt was still in law school years ago, she developed a problem with alcohol. The help she got from fellow lawyers put her back on the road to success. Back then, Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers was a small, informal group offering support to peers.
“I sought out their support, and they helped me live a sober life,” said Leonhardt, who practices at Rome McGuigan. “It was very instrumental in helping me stay in recovery and have a successful career as a lawyer. I thank God for it. Because these people became a platform of support, I was able to stay sober. Their support made all the difference. I was able to conquer the disease before it conquered me.”
