Seventeen former Boy Scouts have filed a lawsuit on claiming they were sexually assaulted by a Ridgefield troop master in the 1960s and 1970s.

The 850-page suit claims that Donald Dennis, who died two years ago, abused scouts he was charged with supervising. It names the Boy Scouts of America Corp. (BSA), the Fairfield County of Boy Scouts of America and the Connecticut Yankee Council. The latter is the umbrella group for scouting troops in the southern part of the state.
