In the 1980s, Christopher Obetz was a student at Deerfield Academy and claims he was sexually abused by a faculty member, Bryce Lambert, on trips to Connecticut and elsewhere in New England. According to the lawsuit filed last June in U.S. District Court in Connecticut, Obetz enrolled at the prep school as a sophomore in 1982 when he was 15 years old. Lambert was an English teacher from 1952 to 1990.
