Tylon Outlaw v. City of Hartford, Detective Troy Gordon and Officer Michael Allen: A man who claims he was beaten by Hartford police officers more than a decade ago has been awarded more than $450,000 by a federal court jury.
Tylon Outlaw claims two officers attacked him for no reason in 2004 while he was talking to a friend. He suffered a broken leg and numerous cuts to his head. “It was just an outrageous beating,” said one of Outlaw’s attorneys, Raymond Rigat of Clinton. “I’m so glad the jury saw what was going on. We just can’t tolerate this kind of behavior in a civilized society.”
