A proposal to build a third casino in Connecticut continues to attract lawsuits.

MGM Resorts International has already filed a complaint against the state, arguing that legislation making two Indian tribes the only acceptable developers of a new gaming complex is unconstitutional. Now the Kent-based Schaghticoke Tribal Nation has filed a similar federal lawsuit, challenging a 2015 special act which granted the Mashantucket Pequots and Mohegans the right to pursue a casino on non-tribal land.
