A judge has sided with a Ridgefield attorney sued by a former client over his handling of an insurance case involving an expensive, water-damaged Greenwich home.

In 2013, Seven Oaks Partners of Greenwich and its president, Murray Chodos, filed a legal malpractice claim against Kenneth Votre and his firm, Votre and Associates. Seven Oaks, which owns and manages real estate, owned a home on Meeting House Road in Greenwich. In December 2004, pipes froze and burst, causing extensive damage.
