Ismael Alvarado v. Mitchell College et al.: A maintenance worker who sustained severe leg injuries when he was accidentally pinned against a trash compactor on the Mitchell College campus by a pickup truck has settled with the New London school for $735,000.

On June 2, 2012, at about 7 p.m., Ismael Alvarado and Aurora Martinez were collecting trash bags from various locations on campus. The pair worked for a company called Sodexo Operation LLC, according to Alvarado’s lawyers, Dale Faulkner and Shelley Graves of Faulkner & Graves in New London.
