During his decades as a prosecutor, New Haven State’s Attorney Michael Dearington could often be seen providing comfort to families who had lost a loved one to a violent crime. Dearington, who will retire at the end of May, says it’s those encounters he will remember as he looks back on his career.

“To this day, I remember all the families of victims I worked with, all wonderful people who suffered tragic losses,” Dearington said.
