A prominent Naugatuck attorney has prevailed in a legal malpractice claim filed by a man who lost money in a Ponzi scheme.
Rosa Rebimbas is the assistant Republican leader in the state House of Representatives. In 2014, her private practice was sued by Reginald Finno and the Reginald P. Finno Family 2005 Revocable Trust. The plaintiffs said they lost money in an investment scheme perpetrated by Branford resident Feisal Sharif. Rebimbas never represented Finno or the trust, but she represented Sharif in a personal matter.
