Yomayra Soto knew that one of her co-workers at the Certified Ambulance Group did not like her. That much, she claims, was obvious from the negative comments about her Puerto Rican heritage.

The comments didn’t stop. And, Soto claims, the management of the Rocky Hill-based company did nothing to stop them. So Soto quit and, having received permission from the state Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, filed a federal lawsuit against the company on May 5. She’s made claims of negligence, discrimination and intentional infliction of distress.
