A man hit by a car while riding a motorized scooter in downtown Wallingford has settled his claim with the defendant for $1.25 million before even having to file the actual lawsuit.
On Oct. 30, 2015, Steven Alexander, 58, of Wallingford, was out driving his moped scooter, according to his lawyer, Carla Minniefield of Carter Mario Injury Lawyers in Milford. Minniefield said her client was riding the moped just after noon on South Elm Street in Wallingford, near the local YMCA.
