A woman who had the wrong fallopian tube cut by a doctor during surgery, rendering her infertile, has been awarded $1.8 million by a jury in New London.

Rebecca Simonds, then 28, began experiencing pelvic pressure and discomfort in early 2011, according to her lawyer, Ralph Monaco of Conway, Londregan, Sheehan & Monaco in New London.
