Energy policy plays a critical role in Connecticut’s energy and environmental strategies. The state’s energy policy impacts not only energy and environmental goals and initiatives, but also statewide strategies for buildings and construction, manufacturing, and transportation, and has a significant impact on the state’s economy.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced in May that it’s beginning to develop a new statewide Comprehensive Energy Strategy (CES) for Connecticut.
