A former paralegal who embezzled $1.7 million from a South Windsor law firm has been sentenced to two more months in prison after she failed to pay restitution and was caught gambling while on probation.
U.S. District Judge Stefan Underhill imposed the latest sentence on Aug. 22 on Patricia Baddeley Meehan, 51, of Ellington. In addition to the two months of imprisonment, Underhill ordered her to be on an additional two years of supervised release for violating the terms of her release following her 2010 federal conviction. Baddeley Meehan must report to prison on Sept. 28.
