A battle over the branding of healthy snacks is cooking in federal court.

Kathie’s Kitchen of New Haven filed a lawsuit Friday in U.S. District Court for Connecticut against Mary’s Gone Crackers of Gridley, California, over Mary’s Super Seed crackers, a vegan product sold in health food stores and supermarkets. The complaint alleges violations of U.S. trademark laws and the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act.
