The family of a woman who was hit by a truck crossing the road and later died has settled a lawsuit against the driver for $1.2 million.
On Sept. 29, 2013, Catherine Kerr, a married Catholic elementary school teacher with two adult children, attended a late morning service at All Hollows Church in Moosup. According to her lawyer, Robert Reardon Jr. of the Reardon Law Firm in New London, she left the church around 12:30 p.m. and attempted to cross Prospect Street.
