A longtime Danbury attorney who served federal prison time for her role in a real estate scheme is seeking reinstatement to the bar in Connecticut.
Lucy DeMelo has submitted a formal application for reinstatement to the bar in Superior Court. A hearing before the Litchfield Standing Committee on Recommendations is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 7 at Litchfield Superior Court, 15 West St. If more time is necessary, the hearing will be continued on Oct. 14. The hearing is open to the public.
