Tort lawsuits against employees of Native American tribes may be on the rise, but a case that the U.S. Supreme Court recently agreed to hear could put an end to those claims.
The justices have agreed to hear arguments over whether a tribe’s sovereign immunity means a tribal employee can’t be sued for conduct that occurred while the employee was acting in the scope of his or her employment.
