An event is planned for next month to help attorneys learn more about what is required of them under the new state rule for mandatory continuing legal education, or MCLE, which goes into effect in 2017.
Melissa Farley, a state Judicial Branch spokeswoman, said the MCLE Commission will be offering a presentation on Nov. 7 on the new obligation. The commission will answer questions about what type of CLE is appropriate, how to report compliance, and who may be exempt.
