A Waterbury attorney who tried to extract a $70,000 settlement in exchange for not filing a grievance against a California attorney has instead found himself reprimanded by the Statewide Grievance Committee.
Attorney Karl David Shehu exhausted all options last month to appeal the reprimand placed on his record, according to the committee. Shehu first appealed his reprimand in June 2014.
