On Jan. 9, 2017, the U.S. Supreme Court heard argument in a case that would never have been there if the plaintiffs’ first attorney was paying attention. In 2011, Bryan and Michelle Lewis were rear-ended by a Mohegan Sun limousine driving patrons home from the casino.
The passengers in the limousine were also injured in the accident; they sued the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority in the Mohegan Gaming Disputes Court, and the Mohegan Tribe settled for $775,000.
