A 31-year-old motorcyclist whose life was likely saved by his helmet after he was hit by a car and sent careening through the air has accepted a nearly $1.3 million settlement.

Jeffrey Cipriano was riding his Harley-Davidson on Amity Road in Bethany when 74-year-old Margaret Wilson struck him while pulling her sedan out of a driveway in 2014. Cipriano suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of the accident.
