A 31-year-old New York man claiming that he was sexually abused by a female employee at the Devereux Glenholme School in Connecticut when he was a teenager has filed a federal lawsuit against the facility that works with students with social and emotional development needs.
In his lawsuit filed Monday in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Adrian Lovell said the abuse began when he was 15 years old in 2001 and lasted for about a year. The lawsuit states Melissa Lee Houck, who was then a 25-year-old employee at the facility, “groomed” Lovell and introduced him to alcohol and drugs.
