In a trio of rulings, New Britain Superior Court Judge Julia L. Aurigemma refused to reduce the $596,324.20 award won last year by Hartford’s Updike, Kelly & Spellacy in a trial to recover legal fees from over 60 airline pilots who once were its clients.

The complex litigation judge also added interest of $267,447 to bring the judgment amount to $863,772 as of Dec. 20, but declined to change the jury finding that Updike can only collect a pro-rata share from each pilot.
