Attorneys representing a Connecticut inmate, who allege prison doctors ignored his deteriorating health conditions for years, claim their client is one of a growing number of local inmates contracting-and not being treated for-hepatitis C.

According to Shipman & Goodwin attorneys Howard Pierce and Jose Rojas, the research they have done in a civil case involving inmate Booker Torrence and the state Department of Correction has persuaded them than a growing public policy issue is about to hit Connecticut, if it hasn’t already done so.
