The PC police are beating their chests and demanding blood. You see, a public defender uttered an anti-semitic remark. To the guillotine with him, they say. Off with his head! Let’s make the world a safe and soporific place.

I’m willing to bet Thomas Wynne wishes he could find someplace to hide. You see, the Stamford Public Defender thought he was sending a private e-mail the other day; he hit the wrong key on his keyboard, and, voila, the private screed became the public fodder to subscribers of an electronic messenger service maintained by those stalwart defenders of liberty, the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (CCDLA). To put it mildly, all Hell broke loose. Before he could repent, the story was on page one of The Hartford Courant.
