Forces rallying to legalize same-sex marriages in Connecticut won’t have the support of the Connecticut Bar Association — at least not during the current legislative session.

By a 12-10 vote March 11, the CBA’s House of Delegates tabled action on permitting the association’s human rights and responsibilities section to lobby for the passage of bills that would either grant gay couples the right to marry or allow them to join together in civil unions, as Vermont now does.
