Important questions surrounding the rights of victims in court proceedings remain unanswered even as the Connecticut Supreme Court recently dismissed both an appeal and a writ of error.

In the consolidated cases of In Re Jonathan S. and Matthew G. v. State, the court first declined full review of an appeal from a juvenile victim of sexual assault, stating it could not go farther because the victim failed to brief the issue of standing in his appeal.
