A recent bout of late-night insomnia found me watching the televised activities at the nominating convention of the state Democratic party. One rousing speech in support of Attorney General Dick Blumenthal’s reelection, noted the incumbent’s commitment to eradicating “unbridled corporate profiteering.” The crowd went wild, because apparently they really don’t appreciate unbridled corporate profiteering, and want to see it stopped in its tracks.
