The Deal: Viana and his White & Case team represented the state-owned operator of Santiago, Chile's subway system in obtaining $1.3 billion in financing to construct two new subway lines and make improvements on existing lines.
Details: White & Case has a long track record of doing deals in Chile, so it wasn't surprising that the subway system's owner, Empresa de Transporte de Pasajeros Metro S.A., would invite its lawyers to participate in obtaining financing for the expansion project.
