Frank Spinosa, the former TD Bank executive who was indicted as a co-conspirator in Scott Rothstein's massive Ponzi scheme, has been barred from the banking and securities industry.

U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra in Fort Lauderdale on Monday approved a consent agreement reached between Spinosa's lawyers and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

While his lawyers agreed to the permanent injunction, they plan to fight any financial penalty in the civil case. A hearing will be held on the matter, said one of Spinosa's attorney, Sam Rabin of Miami.
